Why is art important even for early learners? Arti Why is art important even for early learners? Artistic play stimulates both sides of the brain, increases the capacity of memory, attention and concentration as well as learn to express themselves at an early age. That's all the scientific stuff, but what does it do for the child? It makes them feel proud of their work, tough projects make them feel accomplished and (in my experience) it just puts a smile on their face.
